0 to 200km/h in less than 10 seconds!
The Speed Trap!
Imagine you’re buying a car, and the salesperson boasts, “This car accelerates from 0 to 200 km/h in less than 10 seconds!” It sounds impressive, but does it matter if your goal is to drive through city traffic or take long, reliable road trips? Marketing works the same way—businesses often chase flashy stats like likes, followers, and subscribers, mistaking them for success. But these are the goals of social media platforms, not your business. True marketing is about solving customer problems and driving meaningful results, not getting caught in the trap of platform-defined metrics. Instead of asking how many likes you can get, start with the real questions: What is my business objective? What’s my product objective? Do I want people to remember my business or my product? How can I create a bridge from my business or product to customers? Have I defined my audience stats on paper first?
People don’t buy products for the reasons they say, they buy for the reasons they feel. Understand the real reason, not just the official one
